Next to various new dye derivatives, ATTO-TEC is extending its portfolio on fluorescence quenchers. ATTO 575Q is a new quencher and is supplied as a single isomer in the modifications free acid, NHS-ester and maleimide. 

The dye is designed to quench fluorescence exclusively by Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET). Thus, a spectral overlap of the donor emission with the quencher absorption is necessary that quenching can occur (see product catalogue p. 11ff, and p. 64ff).
